Fransisco Rodriguez vs. Mariano Rivera
New York has two of the best closing pitchers in baseball. For 14 years, the New York Yankees have had a historic closer in Mariano Rivera. Rivera has 491 saves and his best year was 2004 with 53 saves. He has a career ERA. of 2.29 racking up 958 strikeouts. He has a nasty cutter and a flaming fastball.
Across the river in Flushing Queens, the New York Mets have an all-star closer in Fransisco Rodriquez. He also is known as K-Rod. He made history in 2008, reaching 62 saves getting pass Bobby Thigpen for most saves in a single season. He did have 7 blown saves last year one being against the Mets. Here in 2009, K-Rod was perfect until June 12th when the Mets played the Yankees. He did get Alex Rodriguez on a popup to end the game, but Luis Castillo dropped the ball and Fransisco Rodriguez got his first blown save of the season. He was 16 for 16. He is now 17 for 18.

I think MO is better than K-ROD bcuz MO has bin in tha MLB for 14 seasons and has more experence than K-ROD.But I think 1day K-Rod can catch up with MO in saves if he can continue what he is doing.
mo is so much better than k-rod cause mo has more strikes more strikeouts and more saves and mo knows where the ball is gonna go and knows how to control the ball k -rod is just like chad pennington he is good a couple of games with one team and than the next team its the samething and mo has more experience than k-rod and k-rod is never gonna catch up to mo when k-rod has 500 saves mo will have like 800 saves just face it met fans mo is better than k-rod. K-ROD STINKS
mo is way better than k rod you shouldnt even call him that because he copied a rod and atlest after a save mo dosent look like he had 10009898976565432 redbulls and how many rings does the mets so called best closer ever have 1 mo has 4 and where did the mets go last year nowhere were at the top the new york yankees that sounds so perfect . the mets just ew and like alwas we have27 the mets have just two memories that happened when you could actually call them a ballclub now jeez they went from the amazins with the worst rap album i ever heard to the losezins
K-rod is alot better because he is younger and he has a stronger arm
